Vein Treatments in New Jersey

Treatment for vein disease and vascular disorders, including sclerotherapy, endovenous laser treatment, microphlebectomy and vascular ultrasound.

NJ Institute for Pain Relief offers treatment for vein disease and vascular disorders from a dedicated team of vein specialists.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is an important tool in treating varicose vein disease, not only a cosmetic procedure. It works best for average-sized varicose veins and for spider veins, and it is performed under ultrasound guidance for precise placement. Some areas need more sessions than others; your physical exam helps us plan this with you.

Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT)

EVLT, also called endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), is a treatment option for large varicose veins. It is sometimes chosen for cosmetic reasons, but more often to ease symptoms such as aching, leg swelling, skin irritation, discoloration or inflammation.

Microphlebectomy

Microphlebectomy (ambulatory phlebectomy) is a minimally invasive procedure that removes damaged veins near the surface of the legs through very small incisions. It is used for varicose veins larger than those treated with sclerotherapy.

Spider vein removal

Spider veins are small red, blue or purple dilated blood vessels that spread across the legs. They are similar to varicose veins but smaller and closer to the skin. They are not usually serious, but many people want them treated.

Vascular ultrasound

A vascular ultrasound is a safe, painless way to see your veins and arteries and how blood flows through them. A vein evaluation includes an exam by a physician and a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), followed by a brief ultrasound that starts the diagnostic process.
